In Early 2017 I raised money for my PhD research project using a crowd-funding campaign, "join the herd!". Donors buddied up with one of the bulls that occupy the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park - and together we built an impressive herd of 41 elephants. An incredibly generous £2,093 was raised in total which contributed to vital research equipment such as camera traps, memory cards and batteries. I'm forever grateful to those that helped me in this difficult and uncertain time - much love to the herd!
